About the Project:

The once thriving Arizona Center struggled through the pandemic as restaurants were forced to close their doors. Reliance Management have been dedicated to bringing it back to it’s former glory and have signed on some signature tenants that will make it a key destination for the Phoenix Downtown scene.

Creative Designs was hired to propose lighting concepts that would enhance the user experience. Of the dozen ideas discussed, the most feasible concept that would have the most impact was to replace the white ‘laser lines’ light fixtures that previously installed as part of the canopy renovation by Gensler and Energy Systems Design. Technology advancements in color changing LED tape allowed these to become RGBW changing to enhance the brand identity and celebrate the holidays and events taking place downtown.

Two other components that were being brought to the retail center were colorful orange and yellow shade sails and vibrant wall murals. Adding accent lighting to these elements became the next important goal. Flood lights were specified to be RGBW for the shade sails and programmed to be orange on the orange sails and yellow on the yellow sails to make them even more vibrant after sunset. The murals, on the other hand, were illuminated with high CRI white light to bring out all of the colors by using ceiling mounted adjustable downlights.

Other concepts were tabled for the moment, but may be coming soon!
