About the Project:
Located in the OdySea in the Desert (later branded Boardwalk District), this was the first ‘ice bar’ in the Metro Phoenix area. The walls and bar were carved from ice in a 23-degree temperature controlled venue and were illuminated with state-of-the-art DMX controlled LED lighting. The 2,300 SF room can accommodate 200 people while they enjoy hot or cold drinks while enjoying the ‘chill’ atmosphere and playing games. Photo opportunities include an ice throne and ice sculptures of penguins and polar bears, games carved out of ice, ice chairs, and a bar made of frozen water with ice luges for shots. There is an estimated 150,000 pounds of ice in the room that was all carved by Mark Armitage, a local ice master.
Note – Unfortunately, this venue closed during the pandemic in 2020.
